Chocolate Oatmeal Almost – Candy Bars
This weeks Tuesday’s With Dorie recipe was picked by Lillian of Confectiona’s Realm. I thank Lilliana for choosing this yummy recipe from the fabulous book; Baking, From My Home To Yours by Dorie Greenspan.
I just joined Tuesday’s with Dorie a little over a week ago. I love to bake and cook and I have owned this book for a few years now. I have not had a chance to make all of the recipes so I am really excited to be a part of this group so I can get through them all!
I was away from my house all day today. I sent my family to get me a few of the ingredients that I needed so I could start baking once I got home. I told my family about the recipe and they were really excited to taste them! My son Chase helped mix the ingredients while my daughter Dom helped chop the nuts. The 2 hours of cooling time just about killed them. I actually let them cool about 1 1/2 hours and put in the fridge for about 45 minutes. I cut one row strip off so they could try them, then the rest went back into the fridge. Thumbs up from everyone! I really liked the recipe. They didn’t seem to rich. I did omit the raisins since no one in my family likes raisins except for me. I will definately be making more of this recipe for potlucks and parties. I think the recipe was fairly easy! I can’t wait for the next recipe!

So glad you liked them, they were a favorite with my family also.
